Love this, Abby! One thing that’s helped me a lot with friendships is having a value-forward approach and seeking others with the same mindset (I stole this terminology from @graceforpersonalityhires, who has videos about it that are much more eloquent than what I’m about to say here). It creates a natural balance when everyone has something to offer that the other person needs or wants and it promotes collective growth/mindset expansion instead of the draining/“stuck” situation that can happen if there’s more of a giver–taker dynamic. This probably wouldn’t work for everyone, but for people like me who are very into personal and professional development, it’s a great way to build a network of easy friendships
